  9. Hah, awesome! You both may be rugged, strong, beer swilling, belching, farting, and oh-so-manly men but you have great falsettos!

What about a Jason Mraz song? This is not just my request, I think Johnny the Homicidal Maniac would love to see it too! ;)

    Great job guys! :)

  10. Umm...no offense (however how can there not be offense for what I am about to say?) but it's not good. Like The Matches as a whole was a lot better. idk what u guys did but it's not good. It's like a ringing that wont go away.
Sorry but even though it made me laugh its still annoying.

  11. How am I the first to find this comment? Ah well, responsibilities are responsibilities.

Shawnisdead, I was once a wandering and lost soul after the Matches broke up, but now I've come to realize that good things almost always happen after other good things end. The song Imagine probably would not have happened if The Beatles had not broken up, for instance. The cliche 'we are all entitled to our opinions' rings in my ears, and while it is true (don't take any offense to this) your opinion blows.

Shawn, Jake, that was awesome. You turned a ridiculous lyric like "I was moving my hips like yeah," into something I liked and I swayed along with it, and you can bet I was singing along with born in the USA. I grew up on that shit, the boss is the shit, you are both the shit. This makes me more excited than ever to hear your original stuff, keep it comin!

  12. I really hope someone walked in whilst you two were dancing around clapping your hands and strumming your instruments by yourselves at a camera. That would be the best moment of life itself.
And as for 'Shawnisdead', if you really are displeased with this song and side project all together, why are you wasting your time trolling the updates and posting rude comments? Move on with your life and stop dwelling upon what used to be, The Matches has parted and moved on to a different phase of their lives and you should support them in their choices.

  14. Shawnisdead has a blog too. This isn't the Matches or SWN. This isn't even Maniac. This is covers of #1 songs from billboard. Lighten up-- it's just not all that serious 'round here. I dig your blog you crazy motherfucker.

  15. Wow...he does have a blog. I didn't think someone could write about how they think Shawn is dead all the time. I mean, I can rant about ABIH all the time... >_>

  16. Oh my fuck.
And here I was just trying to fund a picture of Juliet Simms for Gary Soto.
Not one to make excuses thanx to my ex, however maybe next time I post a comment I shouldnt have been awake only long enough to hear the song.
Give or Take a minute. And please, anyone, feel free to comment a purpose.

    Oh my fuck.

  19. Yes, I've been going around singing "and the Maniac song was on." And yes, people have been looking at me strangely... though that happens anyway.

Love it. As always. It's playful and fun... And we all appreciate that you guys are posting music, allbeit not the real Maniac stuff just yet. But it makes the anticipation of waiting for the album just a little easier to cope with.

  21. I know they're not #1 anywhere, But you should really consider doing either Earthquake or Drama Queen by Family Force Five. You could definetely make it yours!
